Attention: Del Norte County Business Owners
Today in Del Norte County our local businesses are being faced with unprecedented challenges and circumstances while our nation begins to live in a world restricted by COVID-19. As a result of dynamic changes to health concerns, the Del Norte Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has created a special multi-agency branch to support our local business owners as this situation evolves. The newly formed Economic Resiliency Group will be comprised of staff from Del Norte County, City of Crescent City, Chamber of Commerce, Finance/Banking, Small Business Development Center and employment agencies in the community. This team will be tasked with providing up to date information and resources while maintaining communication at the federal, state and local levels to support our local industries.
We will be reaching out to businesses within the next week to provide information, share resources and gather data in order to help our community navigate these extraordinary times. It is also vital that we all stay current on what equipment and supplies we have locally and a better understanding of what’s needed in our community. Businesses will be asked to join a list-serve so that important information can be sent via email quickly and business related information will be added to the Prepare Del Norte webpage in order to keep resources in a centralized location. The team will be accessing more information at both the state and local levels regarding how businesses can comply with new restrictions and stay open to safely provide vital services for all of us. If you are a business owner and are currently needing information or support, we encourage you to email the following link and join the list serve. (Please note it is a two part subscription process and requires the confirmation email be replied to). On Monday you will receive an email with information on who to contact based on your concerns.
It is critically important that we remember that our local businesses are made up of our community’s families, friends and neighbors. As we keep each other safe, we need to keep them strong through these upcoming challenges.
