Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN)
Contact the OES Emergency Services Coordinator
for assistance in organizing a NHN team or meeting in your neighborhood.
Emergency response personnel are limited in number and may not be able to assist all of those in need immediately following a disaster. Your most immediate sources of help are the neighbors living around you. It has been shown time and again that neighborhoods that are prepared for emergencies save lives, reduce severity of injury and trauma, and reduce property damage.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors is a program that will assist you in developing a neighborhood network that will be prepared to help one another in a time of disaster. As the old saying goes - there is safety in numbers.
Be a leader in your community and start a Neighbors Helping Neighbors program today.
